Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed Alex Song has agreed a new deal.

After last night's Champions League win over Standard Liege, Wenger admitted Song had settled on a new contract extension - and revealed how long the deal is for.

"We extended his contract yesterday. That will be confirmed very shortly. He is an important player, of course. He has three years to go, now he has four years to go at the end of the season - to 2014," Wenger told arsenal.com.

Usually, Arsenal refuse to reveal the length of a new contract agreement.
