Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could see the funny side after being drenched in Champagne by a jubilant Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe after Tuesday night's humiliation at White Hart Lane.
The Daily Mail says Defoe burst into the interview room with two team-mates, believed to be Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov, thinking he was about to give Gus Poyet a soaking after watching him on a dressing-room TV seconds earlier.
But by the time he got there, Wenger had replaced Tottenham's assistant boss.
An insider revealed: "Defoe was spraying champagne just like the winner of a Formula One race."
But Wenger, who missed the full force of the blast which showered a member of Sky's film crew, saw the funny side after Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli apologised.
