Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is monitoring the progress of Sheffield Wednesday fullback Frankie Simek.
The USA international came through the Gunners' youth system and attracted enquiries from Everton this summer.
The News of the World says Wenger is also keen and having Simek watched leading up to a potential January move.
