Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is tracking Paris Saint Germain defender Mamadou Sakho.

The 19 year-old has been likened to former AC Milan and Chelsea star Marcelo Desailly and is regarded as the best defensive talent to emerge in France for years.

Newcastle United failed with a bid for Sakho in January and Wenger is now determined to bring the youngster to London at the end of the season. Sakho is of Senegalese stock and has been capped by France Under-21s.
