Arsenal boss Wenger keen for Toure, Gallas to mend fences

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes William Gallas and Kolo Toure can settle their differences.

Wenger is considering reuniting the pair for today's FA Cup fourth-round clash at Cardiff but is aware it would be a high-risk strategy in a game he is determined to win.

The Emirates chief said: "In football, you do not need to go on holiday with everybody, you can still play together.

"Alfredo Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas didn't talk to each other at Real Madrid. But when you saw them play together you could never guess that - Toure and Gallas talk to each other.

"Toure is my captain and William has handled himself very well.

"It's always difficult to assess how much people are friends or not, what is important is what is on the pitch.

"Football is the priority. If you want to win you do what it takes to win."
