Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on Real Madrid youngster Sergio Canales.
Sport says Wenger wants to take the teen on-loan next month to get a close look at the ex-Racing Santander midfielder.
Canales penned a six-year deal with Real in the summer, despite visiting the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United as he considered his options.
Real are reluctant to sell the midfielder outright.
