Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini is a target for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
The Sunday Mirror says Chiellini is a transfer window target for Arsenal - if they decide to unload William Gallas.
Gallas is wanted by Juventus who are managed by Claudio Ranieri, the man who brought him into English football from Marseille when he was in charge at Chelsea.
Ranieri wants to be reunited with Gallas, who had a huge public fall-out with Arsenal over his criticism of his teammates.
In return, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger would want 24-year-old Chiellini.
He is an accomplished centre-back and would represent a significant investment for the future.
The drawback for Wenger will be the asking price. While Gallas, at 31, would cost only £5million, Juventus would want at least three times that figure for Chiellini.
