Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says their Champions League clash at AC Milan will be a test of Serie A's quality. Just one Serie A club has reached the Champions League final in the past five years and Wenger feels that the forthcoming ties will tell us if Italian football is on the rise.

"Of course you can make comparisons between the two leagues," he told arsenal.com. "Let's not forget that Napoli already knocked Man City out of the Champions League and we already knocked Udinese out.

"They are one of the better teams in the league. So yes, comparisons can be made after these games."
