Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger denies he's planning to sell senior pair Thomas Vermaelen and Wojciech Szczesny. Both players were linked with departures yesterday after they were axed for victory at Bayern Munich.

Wenger said: "Szczesny? I rate him highly and have a big respect for what he's done.

"And Vermaelen? He is a very important part of our squad. He has a fantastic attitude and motivation."
