Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was full of praise for Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard after last night's 1-1 draw.

He said: "Gerrard played well, but they played deep, just on counter-attack, you know? So he's the ideal player to find when you win the ball back and play on the counter-attack. He had a good game. It is as well because we projected ourselves a lot forward, and then of course he is the type of the player who is available again."
