Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he cannot explain Emmanuel Adebayor's sudden transformation this season.

Wenger told arsenal.com of his 21-goal striker: "I don't know what it is down to," admitted Wenger. "But perhaps we have a little bit of special spirit in the club. Certainly he has found somewhere where he can express his talent and he realises it is a magnificent chance.

"But it is down to his talent and dedications as well. [Before he signed for us] there was a question mark about Adebayor - his attitude and his spirit. Did we change him or did he realise he had wasted enough time already? I don't know."
