Arsenal boss Wenger hits out at Man City, Chelsea transfer spending

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hit out at the big spending ways of European rivals.

Reflecting on the changes he has observed since first guiding his side to the highest echelon of European football, he highlighted the gulf that has developed.

"Barcelona and Real Madrid have much more financial power than they did 14 years ago because they have individual TV rights," he said.

"At the moment, with teams like Chelsea and Manchester City, they just take who they want."
