Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has taken a swipe at Tottenham over their lack of English players. Five senior English players have left Spurs with all replacements coming from abroad and Wenger could not resist a swipe.
Asked if he was interested in any of Tottenham's signings, he replied: "There is a big debate in England at the moment that the Premier League is an obstacle for the national team. I was accused many times of that - but I have many players who play for England. We have Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere.
"You push me to buy foreign players. That cannot be right somewhere. I always said the ideal is 60 per cent local and players produced ourselves, even if one or two are foreign, and 40 per cent is if you spend the money and you buy."
