Arsenal boss Wenger happy to stay out of ownership issues

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he'll never comment on the club's ownership.

Wenger has managed to avoid becoming involved in the club's boardroom dramas in recent years.

"I always say to my staff that at a good football club everybody gives their best for what they are paid for and a bad football club is when everybody wants an opinion about the job of the next person," he told arsenal.com.

"I consider myself here as an employee that has to give absolutely everything to do well for this Club. I am not to have an opinion about who owns the Club or who are the shareholders. My job is to do well and to keep these people happy and that's why I will never have an opinion on who should own the Club.

"It is important that I always remember that my job is to do well for the Club and the shareholders, but not to have an input on who is the owner of the Club - as long as I can work with the freedom I want."
