Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is happy for Alan Pardew over his success with Newcastle United.

Despite an ugly clash between Pardew and Wenger during the Toon gaffer's West Ham days, he said there's no issues between the pair.

Wenger said: "We had a problem one time but after that we sorted it out. And you have to accept that.

"He has done very well because he's gone through a very difficult patch at Newcastle.

"He has shown strength and dignity for what happened to him.

"Fortunately he has been rewarded for it."
