Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has played down talk of moving for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Wenger says Benzema is too similar to Olivier Giroud to considering bringing to London.

"I do not think it would be a good idea. In France he competes with Olivier Giroud for the forward position.

"It seems complicated and very difficult to sign him midseason because teams do not usually let their best players to leave in January," said Wenger.
