Arsenal boss Wenger: Gibbs improving every year
The 23-year-old has been in superb form this season and capped off a fine display against Swansea last Sunday with a well-taken goal.
Wenger was delighted with the left back's contribution and says it bodes well for his future.
"He scored a cracker. When he plays with freedom and determination, you see the kind of performances we saw at Swansea," the manager told Arsenal Player.
"That's what you look for sometimes. He's getting stronger and stronger. I like when you feel that every year a player makes a step forward in their career.
"That's what's happening for him this season, so I'm very happy."
