Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists their current dip in form was always coming.

After defeat at Manchester City, Wenger claimed: "I think we had enough focus and gave everything. It is not always negative and we have to take the positives and keep the belief. In a big club you have to go through these periods, and how we deal with it will shape our future.

"I always look at myself, even when we win. We are not in a blaming culture at our club and we must stand up to our own responsibilities.

"I believe we must focus on the next game and not have set targets that don't look immediately reachable. Lets try to win and see where we go from here. I have had worse weeks!"
