Arsenal boss Wenger fears Premier League sack culture here to stay

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger fears the new sacking culture in the Premier League is here to stay.

Wenger - who has been in charge at Arsenal since September 1996 - is not surprised by the spate of managerial sackings already this season.

"It is a new era in British football and Cardiff is an example of it," he said.

"Certainly the trend over the last 10 years has seen there to be less power for the managers now and more power for more interfering for what is above the manager.

"Is that a good thing? For me no, on the long term certainly not because it creates more instability and instability creates less quality people in the jobs."
