Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly interested in procuring the talented Brazilian Maycon from Corinthians.

Maycon is a midfielder who has shown a very impressive set of skills in his appearances for Corinthians, and it appears he has attracted the interest of Wenger.

The player could cost Arsenal around £10 million, and it is possible Corinthians will ask for the 20-year-old back on loan for at least six months when the deal is completed.

Wenger is hoping to strengthen his squad in the January window, and the summer. The loss of Alexis Sanchez was mitigated by adding Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but Wenger knows that other areas need strengthening if the club is to challenge at the top of the Premier League.

A deal for the Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a possibility, with Arsenal having two bids rejected by Dortmund for the attacker so far.
