Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has explained his decision to play senior goalkeeper Petr Cech during his teams 1-0 Europa League victory against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday.
The Gunners could have gone behind when Richmond Boakye hit the crossbar for the home side and Wenger has praised Cech for keeping his cool.
"It's important to have a good goalkeeper in this kind of game, too," he added.
"They came out very quickly on the counterattack and sometimes we lost the ball in an unexpected way.
"They were dangerous and Petr Cech kept us in the game."
