Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has played down an early return for Jack Wilshere.

Wenger feels February is the best time for Wilshere to return from his ankle injury.

Wenger said: "A target could be the beginning of 2012. When I say that, I mean the end of January. Or February.

"He is doing very well, but we'll assess him again next month."
