Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says England were wrong to get rid of new Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson.
"I have always admired him. He was always sensible and co-operative as a national coach and we had a good relationship.
"So it didn't surprise me when Sven came back to a job in England because he wanted to go back to work and the best place to work in football is the Premier League."
Wenger was speaking at the launch of the Treehouse School as Arsenal's official charity for the 2007-08 season. The club aims to raise £250,000 for new sports facilities to help autistic children.
