Arsenal boss Wenger: England can win in Russia

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is backing England to beat Russia, despite claiming they are at an unfair disadvantage playing on an artificial pitch.

England will face Russia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Wednesday in a crucial Euro 2008 qualifier.

Wenger believes the game should be played on natural grass, but expects England to pick up the three points in Russia regardless of the plastic pitch.

"England is my favourite to go through," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online. "I don't think they will lose in Russia.

"It is a little bit of a disadvantage (to play on an artificial pitch), they (Russia) will be more used to it. I felt it would have been fairer to play on a normal pitch."
