Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists his striker search does not reflect poorly on Olivier Giroud.

He says Giroud still has an Arsenal future despite his desire to sign Liverpool ace Luis Suarez.

The manager insisted: "I like Olivier very much. He scored 17 goals in his first year in England when he needed to adapt.

"It's been a very positive night. Everyone did well, we played with pace, good passing and technical skill."
