Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was delighted with his team's performance in the Champions League quarter-final against Villarreal. The Gunners downed the Spanish club 3-0 in a quality display that has boosted confidence even further after a long run of good Premier League form.
"We have confidence and that is down to the slow progress we have accumulated from game to game in the Premier League," said Wenger.
"Confidence transfers from one competition to the other that's why we cannot choose any competition and just want to play well in every single competition.
"We used our passing well and gave them a lot of problems.
"We were explosive on counter attack."
Wenger refused to comment on their Champions League semi-final opponent, Manchester United, preferring to focus on the short-term.
"I would not like speculate on any weakness of Man United. They will be strong on the day, but it should encourage us to be at our best," he added.
"We have games before Man United, so let's try and continue our run.
"Now, the most important thing is Chelsea. We focus on the short-term target."
