Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted with his defensive options.

Wenger is feeling positive about his central defensive players.

Asked about Per Mertesacker's ­improvement after a shaky first ­campaign last term, he said: "All three centre-backs are doing well.

''And against Coventry in the cup game Johan Djourou and Ignasi Miquel were very, very good.

"We have centre-backs where I can adapt to the opponents we play against."
