Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has jumped to the defence of former Gunners midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong.
The FC Ufa midfielder has been banned for two games after swearing at a supporter who, Frimpong claimed, aimed monkey chants at him.
Wenger said: "We had the debate many times. Racial abuse is unacceptable and has to be first punished. You can accept that Frimpong was not happy to get that.
"I believe that it shows that it's endless. We think sometimes maybe too quickly that it's over but its not.
"He's an outspoken boy. He is not scared to speak his mind but that doesn't make the racial abuse acceptable."
