Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted with their deal for Malaga fullback Nacho Monreal.

Arsene Wenger splashed £8.7million on the Spanish international left-back from Malaga after a thigh injury ruled out Kieran Gibbs for up to six weeks.

And the Gunners boss said: "What I like with him is his quick decisions.

"His transitional play, from offence to defence and defence to offence, is quick. He can help the team as a unit.

"He's not as spectacular going forward as Barcelona's Jordi Alba. But his offensive record is good in creating crosses and final balls."
