Arsenal boss Wenger coy over January plans for Man Utd striker Rooney

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes they'll struggle to convince Wayne Rooney to leave Manchester United in January. Wenger was evasive when questioned over whether he retained an interest in Rooney.

"I think he will stay there now because he was not sold by United in the transfer window, but he continues to do exactly the same [as Giroud by focusing on his football], and that is the right attitude."

Pressed whether he was still keen on the England striker and whether he would sign a new deal at Old Trafford, Wenger replied: "I just can say again, honestly I do not know."
