Arsenal boss Wenger could advise FA in hunt for new England manager

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could advise the Football Association in their hunt for the new England manager, reports the Daily Express.

The French manager, who emerged as one of the potential candidates for the job following Roy Hodgson's resignation, is reportedly ready to meet with the FA, but only in an advisory capacity.

The report suggests that the FA are inclining towards appointing a foreign manager and will consult some of the senior members of the England squad before making their decision.

USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann, ex-France and PSG boss Laurent Blanc and ex-Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari have appeared as some of the initial contenders for the job which Wenger will reportedly be consulted on.
