Arsenal boss Wenger cools market talk

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he won't be buying during the January market.

Wenger's hand has been strengthened because Alex Song has not been called up to the Cameroon squad for the six-week tournament in Ghana.

"At the moment we have no information that Alex Song is going," Wenger told arsenal.com. "We have Johan Djourou coming back from Birmingham and we lose Kolo and Eboue but in midfield we have plenty of players who can play."

When pressed, Wenger admitted there was one circumstance in which he might consider a purchase. "If I was offered the bargain of the century," he smiled.
