Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is convinced a breakaway league will form if the Premiership are prevented from their push for an international round.
He said: "If a real threat (of a 39th game) came out from the domestic league, then we would certainly get a response from UEFA or FIFA to organise (their own league).
"If England organises a 39th game, then Italy will do it, France will do it and maybe Spain will as well because they can go to Latin countries. UEFA could say, 'go with us'. It could happen."
