Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists delays over signing a new contract has nothing to do with the departure of former vice-chairman David Dein.
Wenger remains in talks with the Arsenal board over a new contract and is close to signing improved terms to extend his stay for three years.
The Frenchman insisted that the delay was not due to a desire for Dein, the former vice-chairman, to be reinstated at the club: "There are no major problems, just small problems. It is not to do with David Dein. I am friends with him, but my contract situation is not connected with him."
