Arsenal boss Wenger confirms Wilshere back in Premier League contention

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere could be set to receive game-time for the Gunners in the Premier League.

Wilshere is reportedly pushing to be part of the England team ahead of the 2018 World Cup and was reportedly even open to moving away from the club in January should he be not granted sufficient game time for the Gunners in the Premier League.

Following his sides 1-0 win over Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday, Wenger said: "He will get a chance in the Premier League, don't worry about that. I think at the moment it's going like that.

"He got a big kick in the first half on his ankle but he managed to get through the 90 minutes and games of that intensity will, of course, help him a lot."

Arsenal next play against Everton in a Premier League match on Sunday and it remains to be seen whether Wilshere will be given an opportunity.
