Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed Alexis Sanchez is in Barcelona today.

There were suggestions that Sanchez had left the UK to cool off after reportedly being involved in a row with his Gunners team-mates following the humiliating 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.

But Wenger confirmed that Sanchez has obligations in Spain, with the former Barcelona set to attend a court case in Catalunya.

It had been reported that Sanchez could face a possible jail term after admitting two counts of tax fraud, but this is unlikely.

Wenger said: “He has a court case in Barcelona and he'll be back in training tomorrow."
