Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned his critics not to write them off.

The Gunners go to Liverpool tomorrow for a fixture rich in tradition but with little expected from either team just two weeks into the season.

Wenger said: "You never expect much from us I must say. We always have a good potential to surprise you.

"If I listen to the predictions last year on the same day, we were predicted to finish 10-15 and we finished third.

"With Liverpool, always, there are a lot of expectations but what happens now is you also have Chelsea, Man United and Man City."
