Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident one of his former players will soon land a top Premiership job.
Portsmouth No 2 Tony Adams struggled at Wycombe. Walsall fans have nightmares about Paul Merson. David Platt had rough spells with Nottingham Forest and England Under-21s.
Wenger insisted: "Some of my former players are very close to becoming managers in England.
"Nigel Winterburn is a coach at Blackburn, Steve Bould is an important academy coach here.
"There is a big satisfaction when your players become coaches and managers - you want your philosophy to survive."
