Arsenal boss Wenger claims Walcott will be late bloomer!

Despite Theo Walcott's superkid status, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists the winger will be a LATE BLOOMER!

Wenger believes he also has some catching up to do... because he was a late starter as a boy.

The Frenchman explained: "Theo started late. At 12 years of age. Of course that sounds ridiculous but most of the players start playing the game at seven, eight, nine or ten.

"You get your acquisitions, technically, between seven and 12.

"But technically, he has improved a lot since coming to Arsenal.

"What Theo has in his favour is that he learns quickly because he is intelligent. But you learn from the games you play. He has missed too many games.

"It is impossible in modern sport to be away for three months and then to come back at the same level."
