Arsenal boss Wenger challenges Newcastle for AC Milan's Taiwo

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is eyeing AC Milan fullback Taye Taiwo.

Taiwo is ready to quit Milan in January and has emerged as a top target for Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew.

TMW says Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is also keen on the Nigeria international, having lost left-back Andre Santos for three months with injury and fitness concerns hanging over Kieran Gibbs.

Wenger knows Taiwo well from his successful time with Olympique Marseille.
