Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes Cesc Fabregas can become the world's best player.

"Overall I feel that every player in every position should have one target, which is to become the best player in the world in their position. Does Cesc have potential for that? Yes of course," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online.

"If he is doing what he is doing at 20 why should he not aim for that? It is not done yet though and I think that he knows that too.

"It is remarkable where he is at his age, but talent needs to make an early appearance and with Cesc he played at 16 and a half in the first team at Arsenal and that should tell you that if this player is right mentally then he will go a long way.

"He is right mentally and that is why he is where he is today."
