Arsenal boss Wenger: Cesc already five years ahead of rest

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes Cesc Fabregas can be the world's best player.

Speaking on Nike's Cesc Fabregas Show, Wenger said: "I believe a midfielder's best years are usually between 24-years-old and 30.

"He is four or five years ahead of a normal player at the moment; that tells you how far he can go.

"So long as he does not suffer any major injuries, he could certainly be the best midfielder in the world."

Wenger added: "He gets you in touch with the true beauty of football, and the deep aspects of the game."
