Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has blanked questions over progress of contract talks with Robin van Persie.

"I think when he signs a contract we will tell you, don't worry," the Frenchman said. "There is no news on whether he is close [to signing] or not.

"Either you sign or you do not sign, the rest is no news, it's just speculation."
