Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keeping close tabs on Real Madrid superkid Jose Rodriguez.

The 17 year-old midfielder made his Champions League debut last night and Spanish sources say Wenger is a big fan.

Indeed, Wenger tried to sign Rodriguez before he committed to Real and actually had invited him and his parents to London to discuss a move to Arsenal.

Rodriguez was all set to sign for Wenger before Real stepped in and tabled a pro contract to the teen.
