Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal may have something up their sleeve regarding their chase for Alexandre Lacazette.

French club Lyon released a statement on Tuesday indicating that they had turned down a €35million bid from the Gunners due to the fact that they have absolutely no plans to sell their star striker.

However, Wenger did not seem too perturbed during a press conference in the USA ahead of his side's meeting with the MLS All-Stars in California.

"Lyon are comfortable with their own statements," said Wenger.

"I think in situations like this it is always best to keep things as secret as possible.

"If we sign someone, we will announce it. Until then, I can't say much more than that."
