Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is convinced Aston Villa will soon start climbing the table.

Arsenal left it late to snatch victory against Villa as Yossi Benayoun's 87th-minute winner proved decisive. Wenger was quick to praise Alex McLeish's resilient side.

"I have to give credit to Aston Villa, they were not a lower table team with that performance, that is for sure," he told arsenal.com.

"They have not only shown commitment and spirit but quality. This team can play with a high tempo and if they play like that then they will come up quickly in the table."
