Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refused to back Manuel Almunia over his gaffe at West Bromwich Albion.
The Spaniard made another howler against West Brom last weekend, leading to the Baggies scoring the second goal in a 2-2 draw.
Gunners boss Wenger brought former Arsenal star Jens Lehmann back to the club after to injuries to Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski.
And the pressure is growing on Wenger to drop Almunia ahead of the clash with Blackburn on April 2.
Asked if he would make a change, Wenger said: "I do not want to make a public debate of that.
"I believe for every game you consider three days before the game who will play in the next match."
Wenger revealed Almunia was rocked by his gaffe at the Hawthorns.
He added: "What can you say? The player knows it was the wrong decision.
"In big games, it hurts because that was a massive game for us and it hurts him of course."
