Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is determined to land Lille star Eden Hazard in January. The Daily Star Sunday says Wenger is confident he will finally land Lille playmaker Hazard for £28million in the January transfer window.
Wenger made Hazard - also on Kenny Dalglish's wish-list at Liverpool - his top target during the summer but ran out of time with the French club unable to find a replacement.
"The deal was very close to happening but it couldn't be done in time," said an Emirates source.
"Negotiating had all but been done but Lille didn't have a suitable player to come in for Hazard so it fell short.
"But Arsene will make it come January."
