Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could hand Andrei Arshavin a Gunners debut in the FA Cup this weekend against Cardiff City.

The Sun says Arshavin is set to complete a £12million move to Arsenal from Zenit St Petersburg in the next 48 hours.

Arsenal had a £10m bid turned down two weeks ago but have since come back with an improved offer that could rise to as much as £16m based on goals and appearances.

Arshavin's agent Dennis Lachter said: "There is no concrete news yet but on Tuesday there could be."
