Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will disrupt the start of next season to protect Jack Wilshere from burnout.
Wenger is still hoping the FA and U21 coach Stuart Pearce may be persuaded that picking Wilshere for the finals in Denmark will be counter-productive..
But if Wilshere is forced to go, then Wenger has already devised a plan that he hopes will safeguard the teenager's long-term fitness..
"We will give the needed rest to Wilshere if he plays in the U21 tournament," said Wenger.
"England have the rules in their favour, so I will adapt to what they do."
